Jennifer’s proud to have earned endorsements from:
Our waterways, green spaces, and tree canopy are what make our city special. We are the Gateway to the Gulf, after all. Jennifer prides herself in carrying bills each session when in Tallahassee that would protect our waterways and increase our resiliency by expanding the use of green energy. As a council member, she will contribute to city ordinances, policies, and committees that protect our environment and waterways and is honored to be endorsed by Sierra Club-FL.
Jennifer has long been a champion of our fire fighters and EMS. Whether in Tallahassee voting in favor of cancer presumption or in the Tampa Bay region helping to bolster CORE programs to reduce overdoses and compassion fatigue, Jennifer has stood strong alongside our fire fighters and is proud to have this endorsement.
Jennifer will ensure that our city has the backs of those who risk the most for our community - our law enforcement officers. Jennifer has worked closely with law enforcement and first responders, securing $1.2 million for regional programming bridging law enforcement and behavioral health organizations.
Jennifer supports women and girls and has long worked to prevent violence against women, promote economic justice and protect reproductive rights. She served on Florida’s Commission on the Status of Women and pulled together partnerships to reduce violence against women while at USF.
Did you Know — Jennifer was the first out lesbian elected to higher office in the state of Florida? Jennifer has long worked tirelessly as an advocate for our LGBTQ+ community in Tallahassee, across our county and throughout our community.
Want to keep Gulfport weird? Then we need diverse housing stock that will keep our neighbors in our city. More affordable duplexes and live-where-you-create condos will help keep those who made Gulfport weird - our working class and artist neighbors - here in Gulfport. ADUs for rent and programs for home improvement will keep us in our community from the cradle to the grave. I’m proud to have STAR’s endorsement.
